You can make progress in Story Mode by completing quests in your Territory,

and missions within Story Mode.

You can tap on Jack Sparrow to enter Shansa's Cave.

Once in Shansa's Cave, you will see three glass bottles.

Tap on the blue glass bottle to start Chapter 1 in Story Mode.
